Maasai Women Development Organization (MWDO) is non-governmental organization initiated in the year 2000. The organization is established in Tanzania with a guiding principle to improve the economic, political and social status of disadvantaged Maasai women through implementing activities in empowerment, advocacy and human rights within the Maasai community.

MWDO is one of the few organizations in Tanzania involved in the implementation of various activities that promotes the well-being and basic rights of Maasai women. The organization supports efforts that empower women within their cultural traditions. We value the strengths and dignity of women and affirm their right to benefit both economically and socially through educational rights.
